Founding of Dominus Columbia

1DC

In the ruins of the old world's eastern seaboard, a coalition of settlements establishes Dominus Columbia: an underground capital built beneath the wreckage of a pre-Fall seat of government. The founding marks the beginning of the DC calendar. Where other regions remain fractured into isolated havens, DC attempts something unprecedented in the post-Fall world: centralized governance across multiple city-states. The Senate is established as the deliberative body, and the first institutions of law and trade begin to take root in the tunnels beneath the wasteland.
