Horace Griffin

Horace Griffin is an enterprising barman who built a business on holy ground. His pub, the Crossroads Bar, sits on the east corner of the legendary Crossroads, the King's Court's most sacred site where musicians go to trade their souls for transcendent talent. Griffin pours drinks for the nervous, the faithful, and the doomed with equal professionalism.
The bar is a small, dark establishment with a jukebox, a small generator for power, and rooms for rent above that house the Servants of the Cross. King's Court pilgrims fill the space periodically, seeking a view of the holy site and the liquid courage to contemplate approaching it. Griffin watches the steady stream of hopeful deal-makers with the practiced eye of a man who has seen the ritual play out hundreds of times.
He claims that no attack by raiders, critters, or undead has ever occurred at the Crossroads. Whether that peace is a coincidence, the result of the Servants' vigilance, or something darker keeping threats at bay is a question Griffin does not answer. He pours the drinks and lets the customers draw their own conclusions.
