Mers Roadhouse
Roughly ten hours hard riding east of Vegasia, the warm glow of electricity visible from the windows of Mers Roadhouse tempts weary desert travelers to approach. Tens of dozens of scrap rider motorcycles park out front, and piles of hijacked and scrapped vehicles surround the property. This is the central headquarters of the Iron Reapers, the vehicle-mounted raider society of the Final Knights, and the invitation of that warm light is the last temptation a traveler will ever accept.
Above the front door hangs the Eternal Mermaid: the upper half of a zombie sewn to the back half of a giant taxidermy fish. The body is kept fresh by regularly swapping out the zombie torso with a living prisoner taken in Iron Reaper raids. The victim's legs are shoved into the taxidermy fish bottom and the person is left to slowly die of starvation until they reanimate as the new undead torso for the trophy. Inside, the sadistic gang refuels, repairs, and stores spoils of war. Massive cages out back hold prisoners taken for pleasure, forced labor, or as food sources.

Hazards & Traps
Approaching Mers Roadhouse means walking into the Iron Reapers' base of operations. The warm glow of electricity visible from the windows is a deliberate lure for desert travelers. Prisoners taken in raids are held in massive cages behind the building. The Eternal Mermaid trophy at the entrance is a living horror: a prisoner slowly dying sewn into a taxidermy fish, reanimating as an undead torso upon death. Captured vehicles are stripped and refitted for Iron Reaper use.
