Muzquiz
A painfully thin man with dark hair and pale skin, Muzquiz died well before the fall of mankind. A pre-fall Spanish general, his corpse was buried on the family estate for generations before a bizarre strain of the undead infection permeated his bones and dust deep within the grave. The infection mingled with what remained and portions of his body slowly regenerated over the years. For most restless dead, this process shatters the mind into bestial instinct. Muzquiz kept control of his thoughts.
He shuns the society of the living, preferring the company of the shambling dead that surround his estate at the Casa de la Muerte in Cayota. The zombies are closer to kin than any living person. He can hear their pleading and hunger in the back of his mind, and when he climbed from his grave surrounded by the hungry dead, he found friends rather than savage corpses. He allows a small township to exist around his estates as long as his undead companions are left to roam his property unmolested. The arrangement has held, but the growing number of undead residents is straining it. A general who commanded armies in life now commands the dead in his second existence, and his forces are only getting larger.
