Oil Fields

Freedom exists in the oil fields. It does not come without a heavy price.
Beyond Sinking City's scrap walls, the dusty wilderness stretches with oil derricks, scattered small settlements, and expansive spaces between towns so vast that one population can be slaughtered while the next remains oblivious. The Oil Fields are where the Pridelands clash with Lone Star for untapped resources, a frontier where workers face infected hordes, gang sabotage, and the constant danger of isolation.
Ban-dee-tow Flats is the largest oil source, controlled by Los Ban-dee-tows Mericanos. Guards ride rebuilt quads, cycles, and horses. Non-functioning motor homes and iron trailers serve as worker housing. The Rangers take over as lawmen in territory too wild for the Federales. The Coyote Kings are a constant source of sabotage. A train line connects the fields to Sinking City through Iron Graveyard Station, providing the lifeline that keeps oil flowing to the refineries.

History

The Oil Fields developed as Sinking City's appetite for resources outgrew what the city could produce within its walls. Los Ban-dee-tows Mericanos established Ban-dee-tow Flats as the largest single operation, while the train line was extended from Iron Graveyard Station to connect the fields to the city's refineries and markets.

The Oil Fields stretch across dusty wilderness outside Sinking City's scrap walls, dotted with oil derricks and scattered small settlements.
