Riverside
A settlement on the far western shores of Misery Bay, Riverside is built from the overturned hulls and cargo containers of derelict pre-fall ships. Every building was once part of a vessel, giving the town a distinctive maritime silhouette of keels turned skyward and containers bolted shut against the fog.
Riverside serves as the western terminus of the cross-bay ferry route, making it the first stop for everything arriving from the west. On the bluffs above the waterfront, a Nuclear Family community called Mabel Vale looks down on the settlement below.

History
Riverside grew from the graveyard of pre-fall ships that washed ashore or were deliberately beached on the western bank of Misery Bay. Early settlers realized the hulls and containers provided ready-made shelter, and the settlement expanded as the cross-bay ferry route established it as a key transit point.
