Salt Lake Tabernacle
Deeper in the city of Salt Lake Commune, the fire-and-brimstone Salt Lake Tabernacle stands as arguably the largest and deadliest branch of the Fallow Hopes Inquisition in the world. The Tabernacle follows a bizarre hybridization of old-world Mormon, Muslim, and Christian faiths, profoundly ascetic and conservative, eschewing all drink and drugs. Boys begin combat training at age five, and all men engage in ritualized gang combat and king-of-the-hill tactical drills every month for their entire lives. Their population outnumbers the neighboring Red Star commune roughly three to one.
Under the current High Inquisitor, Touchfather Orson Brinker, the Tabernacle has escalated from uneasy coexistence with the Reds to active raiding. Brinker launched purges targeting fornicators and the Final Knights, retreated to study captured Final Knights methodology, and emerged crueler than before. He began demanding tithings of Inquisitors' wives who often vanished, then turned his attention to children under the title of Touchfather. He has now begun conducting raids on Red Star communities to bring more wives into the Tabernacle. The outnumbered Reds are preparing for all-out war but would certainly be doomed.

Hazards & Traps
The Tabernacle's population outnumbers the neighboring Red Star commune three to one, and all men train in combat from age five through ritualized gang combat and tactical drills conducted monthly for life. Under Touchfather Brinker, the Inquisition has escalated to active raiding of surrounding communities. Outsiders approaching the Tabernacle risk being targeted by purges against perceived sinners. The current crusade against fornication has already killed dozens in the surrounding areas.
