Soldiers of Bedlam
Sub-sect of Final Knights
The Soldiers of Bedlam have made their peace with death. Not in the way a brave warrior accepts risk, and not in the philosophical manner of those who simply acknowledge mortality. The Soldiers of Bedlam actively choose death over life when given the option, believing that this willingness strips away hesitation, attachment, and weakness, leaving behind a purity of purpose that few can match.
Their exterior is stoic and unyielding. Internally, they embrace the chaos of existence, the constant dance between living and dying that defines every moment in the wasteland. To the Soldiers, survival is a temporary state, a delay of the inevitable, and clinging to it is a chain that weakens the spirit. They do not lead, they do not teach, and they reject the responsibility of guiding others. Their path is solitary, an internal struggle walked alone, refined through confrontation with mortality.
Other Final Knights sometimes view their passing as failure. The Soldiers of Bedlam do not care what the living think. Only by going over the edge, they hold, can a person truly know their own limits. In battle they do not hesitate, for hesitation is a denial of death's certainty. In life they do not pursue comfort, for attachment dulls the warrior's resolve. They live as though already dead, which makes them among the most dangerous adversaries in the wasteland and among the most resolute allies.
