Belliagian Water Service
Fifty pumps, one family, and the only thing standing between Vegas City and dying of thirst. The Belliagian Water Service sits at the western edge of Vegas, near the seafront, pulling seawater through over fifty pumps into a desalination station. The process involves slow boiling, vapor catching, and mechanical pumping to produce massive tanks of purified water, which is then distributed across Vegas through a network of waterways and pumps.
The Young family operates the Service and has never been without influence or wealth because of it. Families pay heavily to have water routed to their buildings, and the Young family controls one of the largest paid militias in Vegasia, making them one of the few organizations that dares to not completely submit to the Final Knights. But the metal waterways and mechanical pumps are corroding from the inside out. Replacing the lines would require shutting down water routes, leaving sections of Vegas without service, and any interruption is sufficient incentive for the influential families to lash out. The pipes are rotting, and nobody wants to hear that the water might stop.
