Blood Red Chapels
Once shining white chapels where Vegasians came to pray and to be wed, dedicated to one of the most potent Kings of the Kings Court and considered holy ground by courtiers. Now the walls are coated in the blood and flesh of those the converts betrayed when they embraced the Final Knights and left their old faith behind. Circling vultures ring the buildings, and the smell carries for miles when the wind is right.
The Blood Red Chapels line the end of Murderer's Mile and serve as ritual sites for The Fallen, the converted-priest society of the Final Knights. Accensorite captives are brought here for torture, conversion, or execution. Any former center of faith where the faithful can be turned against their brethren may become the next Blood Red Chapel. These desecrated shrines are not limited to Vegas City; survivors stumble upon them across the wastes wherever the Final Knights have corrupted the inner circles of small religious holdouts and churches. Each chapel is a monument to the destruction of someone's former faith, built from the remains of the people who once shared it.
