Great Stone Steps of Toltec

A massive settlement of stone, adobe, and wood on the contested border between Lone Star territory and the Pridelands. Over one thousand Natural Ones call the Great Stone Steps home, making it one of the largest settlements in the region.
The settlement serves as the northern trade point for rovers, traders, and nomads moving through the Pridelands. It is also a focal point for Lone Star oil aggression. Warriors maintain constant vigilance, defending against raids from the north driven by Lone Star's hunger for oil, and zombie hordes pushing up from the south. Stone, adobe, and wood rising from the border like a fist; the Pridelands' first and last defense.

Demographics

Over one thousand Natural Ones form the dominant population, making the Great Stone Steps one of the largest concentrations of that strain in the fallen lands.

Defences

Warriors defend the settlement against threats from two directions. Lone Star raiders strike from the north, driven by oil aggression and territorial ambition. Zombie hordes push northward from deeper in the Pridelands. The settlement's stone construction and elevated position provide defensive advantages against both threats.

History

The settlement grew around the great stone steps that give it its name, a construction recalling pre-fall Mesoamerican pyramids. Over time, it became the primary northern trade point for the Pridelands and a bulwark against Lone Star expansion.

Geography

The Great Stone Steps of Toltec sit on the contested border between Lone Star territory and the Pridelands. The settlement is constructed from stone, adobe, and wood in a monumental style, with the great stone steps forming the core of the structure. Its position makes it both a vital trade gateway and a military flashpoint.
