Hierophant Abdiel
A twisted and mostly rotten Retrograde priest, Hierophant Abdiel oversees the sacrifices made at the Altar of Scars in the name of the demonic inspirations of the Final Knights. He is known to foam at the mouth and speak in demonic tongues, and he offers dozens of living sacrifices weekly. He is feared as much within the sect as from without.
While many of the Fallen have abandoned the 33 named demons of the faith's origins in favor of empowerment through pain transcendence, Abdiel is what most would call a traditionalist. He still reveres the old demonic foundations, and his rituals at the Altar carry the weight of that ancient tradition. He is the Soulless Pharaoh's most cherished follower, a distinction earned through a peculiar custom: Abdiel attempts to kill the Pharaoh at every meeting. After each failure, the two embrace the darkest sins at the expense of captured victims. Whether this ritual endures because of theology, mutual respect, or some bond that outsiders cannot fathom, only the two of them know.
