Star City Sky Temple
Northwest of Star City, just outside the walls, the Star City Sky Temple looks more like a battleground than a place of worship. Warped, twisted pieces of metal litter the outside gardens, contorted into strange shapes by intense heat and rusted by wind and rain. The remaining structures are patched and faded but put to hard use by the Fallow Hope order that calls this site holy.
The believers claim that when the world fell, angels battled across the skies defending humanity. The metal scattered around the site is the burnt-out husks of those immortal angels. Whether the warped debris is evidence of divine combat or the remnants of some pre-fall catastrophe, the Fallow Hope order treats the ground with the reverence that conviction demands.
Minister-General Lucas Kensington leads the temple. The brothers and sisters train to an extreme military standard: firing squads practice outside in the deadly heat, and the temple produces soldiers for both the Lawmen and the Judicial Circuit that enforces General Mustang's laws across Lone Star. The more politically minded members become judges of the Circuit, dealing out corporal punishment and frontier justice. General Mustang makes frequent pilgrimages to consult with the Minister-General and recruit for his personal army.
