Vices & Violence

The first pillar of the Black Market is the oldest and most visible. Vices & Violence is the business of spectacle and escape: blood-streaked pit fights, backroom gambling dens, smoke-choked halls where fortunes change hands faster than punches. These are the indulgences hidden behind walls, exclusive and expensive, accessible only to those willing to pay the price of admission.
What defines this pillar is not the act but the experience. Anyone can brew a drug or stage a brawl. The societies within Vices & Violence have refined these things into art. The fights are theatrical. The drugs are addictive by design. The entertainment lingers in the mind long after the lights go out. It is spectacle, theater, and the transformation of the mundane into something that haunts you.
Four criminal societies operate within this pillar. Bedlam runs roving pit fights and manufactures combat drugs, staging Infection transfer bouts where fighters battle for more than just pride. The Executive Suite Club is a network of the obscenely wealthy who own settlements through debt and manipulate entire economies from rooms that do not officially exist. The Hazers promote underground parties in settlements with strict laws, dealing in addictive substances and guided Mortis Amaranthine death experiences. Vrengrir's Syndicate operates pain houses and sadist theaters where suffering is refined into enlightenment, or at least sold as such.
The wasteland is brutal, life is short, and some people just want something to take the edge off. Vices & Violence ensures the edge is never quite taken off enough.

Structure

Vices and Violence operates through four child societies, each specializing in a different dimension of vice and spectacle. Bedlam runs pit fights and distributes combat drugs. The Executive Suite Club serves the ultra-wealthy criminal elite. The Hazers host underground parties and deal drugs. Vrengrir's Syndicate operates pain houses and sadist theaters. Together, these societies form the Black Market's first and most visible pillar.

Public Agenda

Provide escape through vice, spectacle, and violence. Vices and Violence deals in pit fights, gambling, drugs, weapons, and entertainment, turning the wasteland's brutality into profit and its desperation into demand.

History

Vices and Violence grew from a simple observation: the wasteland is brutal, life is short, death is violent, and some people want something to take the edge off. Entire crime syndicates have been built on the backs of chem-lords and vice traders who keep settlements numb just enough to stay functional.
The pillar became the Black Market's most visible arm, dealing in spectacle, violence for profit, drug manufacturing, and entertainment. Blood-streaked pit fights, backroom gambling dens, smoke-choked halls where fortunes are made and lost: these are the pillar's stock in trade. The philosophy is not about the act itself but the experience. Spectacle, theater, and the transformation of the mundane into something that lingers. What it sells is escape, and in a world where escape is the rarest commodity, the demand never ends.
