The Founders of the Bailey establish Last Hope University in Bahlsmore, creating the first institution of organized education and research in the post-Fall eastern wastes. The university becomes a center for preserving and rediscovering knowledge, training the scholars, engineers, and leaders that DC will need to grow beyond a collection of survival settlements into a functioning state.
