Galeworks Family
When the wasteland learned to fly, the Galeworks family followed. They claimed the sky the way other families claim roads or rail lines, and they enforce their borders with the finality of gravity.
The family operates through airship crews, glider pilots, and ground artillery teams stationed along their claimed airspace. Vessels that enter without permission are shot down by high-caliber guns and cannons positioned to make the wreckage look like a raider attack or an avoidable accident. Targets beyond artillery range are met in the air: boarding teams launch on gliders or from the family's own airships, seize control of the vessel, and throw every crew member from the deck. The ship is either commandeered for future operations or destroyed outright. Either way, nothing flies through Galeworks territory without their knowledge.
Their execution method is elegant in its simplicity. No poison, no blades, no elaborate ritual. Just altitude and a long fall. The Galeworks believe the sky belongs to those willing to master it, and trespassers learn that lesson on the way down.
Initiation into the family is called the Trust Fall, and it earns the name. A new member is shoved from an airship without warning. Another family member swoops in on a glider to catch them before impact. The recruit has no control over the outcome. They fall, and they trust. Those who panic are rarely caught in time. Those who surrender to the drop join a family that owns the wind.

Structure
The Galeworks Family operates within the Adherents of Betrayal faction of Murder Inc. Members include airship pilots, glider operators, artillery crews, and boarding teams who work together to control claimed airspace. Ground artillery positions are staged to look like raider attacks or avoidable accidents, while glider and airship teams handle targets beyond artillery range through direct boarding actions. New members undergo The Trust Fall: they are shoved from an airship in flight and must trust another family member to catch them mid-air with a glider, enforcing absolute trust in the family and comfort with the terror of falling.
Public Agenda
The Galeworks Family claims dominion over the sky. Their mission is to control airspace through ground artillery, glider deployment, and airship boarding, eliminating any vessel that enters their claimed territory without permission. They serve Murder Inc as specialists in aerial assassination and ship seizure, turning the growing network of wasteland air travel into their hunting ground. When an airship crashes in what appears to be raider territory, the Galeworks are often the unseen hand that brought it down.
History
The Galeworks Family emerged as Murder Inc's answer to the growing presence of airships across the wasteland. As aerial trade and travel expanded, the family developed the expertise to claim and enforce control over specific airspace using a combination of ground-based anti-air artillery and their own fleet of gliders and commandeered vessels. Their operations are designed to be deniable: artillery strikes are staged to resemble raider attacks, and vessels that enter their claimed airspace without permission are shot down with no witnesses left to tell the story.
The family built its reputation on a particular method of execution: boarding target airships and throwing every crew member from the vessel to the ground below, then either seizing the ship for future operations or destroying it outright. This combination of territorial control, boarding capability, and total evidence elimination made the Galeworks one of the most feared families within Murder Inc's aerial domain.
