Helscape
Every marque in the wasteland has a specialty. Helscape's is the work almost nobody else will touch. Where other makers stamp their names on axes and trade wagons, Helscape builds the equipment that lets a person walk into a place necrology has ruined and walk back out: the Corrupted Morgues, the disease zones, the deep and hostile stretches of the Mortis Amaranthine. Its catalog is grounded in Wasteland Science and Necrology, and its name is the one that shows up on the gear that hazard crews and serious necrologists trust with their lives.
The centerpiece is the Helscape Suit. It is sealed protective armor that turns aside the environmental effects of specific hazard zones for the length of a single trip through them, and it can be reinforced with rare scrap when one trip is not enough. This is not a boast made lightly: when settlements draw up their protocols for surviving an Omni Plague zone, the place where death stops being temporary, the Helscape Suit and its companion Deathmask are the equipment those protocols name. The Deathmask, a necrological mask whose physical form must include real eye protection, forces the Wahel haunting a scene to reveal themselves and hold still long enough to be dealt with. Together they are the difference between entering a dead zone and being consumed by one.
Beyond survival, Helscape builds for containment and for the careful handling of the Infection itself. The Catastrophic Stabilizer is the marque's flagship: a device that a team deploys and activates across several dives into a Corrupted Morgue, spending will and hours, until the Morgue falls quiet for a season or more. The Infection Transfusion is quieter but no less significant. It is a twenty-minute procedure between two willing people in which a donor gives up a measure of their Infection and a recipient takes it on, along with a Fracture that surfaces as borrowed pieces of the donor's personality. It cannot push anyone past their limits, and it cannot be done to the unwilling. In a wasteland where Infection is stripped from captives in industrial farms, Helscape's transfusion rig is the engineered, consensual alternative: the honest channel for a transaction that others perform with restraints.
The rest of the line rounds out the working necrologist's kit. There are engineered spaces, a worked mine that gives up scrap to those who labor for it and a security sanctuary that links two points into a hidden passage, alongside heavier arms like the two-handed Arbalest and the Final Rest Quarrels, specialist bolts that break a shield and cripple the limb behind it. None of it is casual gear. Most of it demands a trained hand, and all of it carries the same message: whoever carries Helscape kit expects to go somewhere they should not, and expects to come back.

History
Helscape is known the way many wasteland marques are known: through its goods rather than its story. No founding date, no home workshop, and no roster of makers survives in the trade record. What can be said about the marque's origins has to be read backward from what it builds, and what it builds points in one clear direction.
This is a maker steeped in Wasteland Science and Necrology. Every serious item in the line assumes a trained operator, a necrokinetic, a Mortis scholar, or someone versed in the sciences of the wasteland, and every one of them addresses a problem that only arises at the dangerous edge of necrological work. A marque does not develop protective suits rated for Corrupted Morgues, a device that neutralizes a Morgue outright, and a consensual Infection transfusion rig by accident. It develops them because it has stood in those places and lost people there. The catalog reads like hard-won institutional memory.
The clearest external anchor is the Omni Plague. When the protocols for surviving that catastrophe were written, the equipment they named as the line between life and permanent death was Helscape's: the Suit and the Deathmask. That a maker's gear became load-bearing in the wasteland's single most lethal scenario says something about how long and how seriously Helscape has worked this ground, even if the names of the people who did the work are not written down. The older catalogs hint at more history still, listing specialist bolts, the 13th-Story Quarrels, whose purpose the record no longer explains. For now, the marque's biography is its inventory, and its inventory tells the story of a maker that chose the worst rooms in the wasteland and set about building the tools to come home from them.
