Johnny Two-Smiles is the most wanted criminal in all of Vegas, and the bounty for his head and shirt is a seat at the High Rollers table. He was once Johnny Diamonds, a sharp guy born to a not-quite-High-Roller family, well off and well known at the strip's gambling tables and Bath Houses. Half as wise as any Vegasian woman who controlled the strip, by his own admission.
He fell in love with Miss Fortuna and murdered Mister Fortuna in a private room of the Bath Houses. She repaid him by cutting deep across his throat, giving him the second smile that replaced his old name. Whether he died from the wound, fled east, or hides somewhere in the Black Pyramid depends on who you ask. His description of Vegas City, looking back from the desert and seeing nothing but burnt-out pillars of dead light, became the phrase that defines the city for those who have lost everything to it.
