Lineage Hall

Nestled in the northern Heights just south of the Broadway bridge, Lineage Hall stands nearly as intact as the day it was built. The grand domed building with its stone columns overlooks courtyards of well-maintained grass, offering a glimpse of pre-fall life that exists nowhere else in Old York. Built by the shared resources of the highest-standing Pure Blood families, the Hall serves as the fortress stronghold and headquarters of the Lineage League.
 

Repository of the Old World

Behind its walls lies a repository of recovered pre-fall technologies, books, and relics. The League's member families contribute pieces from their private collections, and the Hall's scholars work to piece together pre-fall life, rebuild lost technologies, and catalog the fragments of a vanished civilization. The security surrounding this collection is staggering: hired gangs man the outer walls, loyal families patrol the corridors, and Lascarian smugglers guard a network of secret passages beneath the complex. By some accounts, Lineage Hall rivals even the great vaults of Vegasia in its defenses.
 

Genealogy and Covert Influence

The Hall's public function is the tracking of Pure Blood family genealogies, recording lineage and standing under the direction of the founder, Richard Lexicon Conde'Nast. Its covert function is far more ambitious. The Lineage League redistributes recovered technologies through Lascarian smugglers who plant discoveries in distant settlements to be "found" by the locals. The League has seeded advancements to chosen societies including the Second Ark, Reichsgard, Aysea, and The Reach, while restricting access from others.
  Lineage Hall is not merely a building; it is the quiet hand steering which communities advance and which remain in darkness. The most heavily guarded building in Old York protects something more dangerous than weapons: the knowledge of how to rebuild the world, and the power to decide who deserves it.
