Lineage League

The Lineage League is a secretive association of Pure Blood families based at Lineage Hall, a massive domed stone building in the northern Heights near the Broadway bridge. The compound of surrounding structures survived the Fall nearly intact, with columns overlooking well-maintained grasses that give the whole complex a pre-fall appearance. Built with shared resources from all high-standing Old York families, the Hall now serves as the seat of one of the city's most quietly powerful organizations.
Publicly, the League tracks Pure Blood family genealogies, ensures propriety of social standing, and arbitrates property disputes among High Society families. League families hold unrestricted access to one another's properties and resources across territories with Pure Blood ancestral holdings. The organization is overseen by the Nast family through Richard Lexicon Conde'Nast, who directs both the genealogical operations and a far more ambitious agenda beneath them.
The League's true purpose is the recovery of pre-fall technologies and sciences. By tracing family lines to ancestral invention sites, the League locates where pre-fall innovations originated and dispatches recovery teams to retrieve blueprints, books, and technological artifacts. These discoveries are then leaked into the wasteland through Lascarian tunnel runners who plant them for scavengers and scientists to find, or delivered as "recovered heirlooms" to trusted Pure Blood families. The League takes no public credit for these interventions. They decide which communities receive the spark of progress and which are left to stagnate, shaping the future of the wastes from behind the most heavily guarded doors in Old York.
