Tiny enough to be nearly impossible to target and capable of flight, the Red Kestanary poses no threat to humanoids. Its value is entirely utilitarian. In addition to gas detection and vermin control, some specimens have been trained as carrier birds, capable of flying point-to-point messages between handlers.
