The Soulless Pharaoh

Somewhere in the deepest chambers of the Black Pyramid, behind walls of stone wrapped in perpetual cold and the smell of frankincense and burning flesh, the Soulless Pharaoh orchestrates the tireless workings of the Final Knights. An albino figure, skin white as alabaster, body thin as a reed, wearing a black half-mask and never observed sleeping. The people of Vegas City know him more as concept than person: a rumor of something truly evil whispering in the dark heart of the Pyramid.
He speaks of times before the Fall, before even the old world, reciting from ancient tomes of desecration and repeating texts of death, truth, and insanity. He claims knowledge of hidden temples and secret societies that gathered beneath the sight of man with intent to control all of humanity. Whether he is one of the Full Dead of Europe, some other form of sentient undead, or something stranger still, no one can say with certainty. What is certain: as the memories and markings of old-world faiths are found and destroyed under his guidance, the Soulless Pharaoh's control over the future expands with every relic that turns to ash.

Personal history

The origins of the Soulless Pharaoh remain deliberately obscured. Some within the inner circles of the Final Knights theorize he is one of the Full Dead of Europe, a sentient undead who crossed the ocean with knowledge predating the Fall itself. Others believe he is a powerful psion whose mind long ago slipped the boundaries of mortal comprehension. The truth, if anyone living possesses it, has not left the ritual chambers of the inner Pyramid.
What is known: his influence predates the Final Knights' open seizure of power in Vegasia. He was already enthroned in his sanctum when the faith made its bloody declaration, and his guidance in locating and destroying pre-fall structures of old-world religion has only sharpened in the years since. His most cherished follower, Hierophant Abdiel, attempts to kill him at every meeting. After each failure, the two embrace the darkest sins at the expense of captured victims. Whether this ritual of attempted murder and shared depravity is tradition, theology, or something the Pharaoh simply finds amusing, only the two of them know.
