Wild Wood Heights

Between Aysea and May Cape along the coast stretches an infamous collection of decrepit houses and collapsing entertainment facilities. Despite the name, there are no woods here; only dunes that have engulfed houses and scattered coastal vegetation. Scavengers claim many of the towns were once pleasure facilities with small boardwalks that lacked the infrastructure to survive post-Fall and eventually emptied.
The Heights are home to the Close Enough pirate gang, a group known for ramshackle ships, irreverent attitudes, and hit-and-run bait tactics. They use the numerous small harbors to lie low, existing at the sufferance of Aysea and May Cape by keeping their predations in the realm of occasional irritant. More disturbing: sailors have confirmed sightings of massive nightfires with Knights gathered around performing profane rites. Some claim the gatherings move between abandoned towns in an arcane pattern, and the nightfire sightings correspond with times immediately before or after Final Knight activity in Aysea. The Board has begun privately referring to the entire area as "the situation" and is running out of patience.
