African Continent
The post-Fall African continent stretches across five distinct regions, each shaped by radically different conditions. From terra-formed grasslands to cult-ruled mountain islands, the continent holds both the deadliest undead concentrations on the planet and some of the most promising sites for civilizational rebirth.
Northern Africa
The Nile Valley has been terra-formed into lush grasslands, home to Pure Blood families and Natural One tribes who coexist in relative peace. The land itself is not the danger here. A dozen or more variations of Infection-bearing elephants roam the valley alongside story-tall warthogs and swarming packs of carnivorous hyenas. The wildlife dwarfs the undead as the primary threat.
Western Africa
The coastline has shattered into deep river basins cutting inward from the sea. Salt Wise communities cling to the shoreline and rivers, enduring massive undead swarms that rise from the rich soil and wash into the bays with the tides. At the center of it all stands New Ibadan, a massive Full Dead necropolis.
Central Africa
Dense jungles and wetlands glow with bioluminescent fungus and moss that wash the ground in unearthly light. The glowing fauna filters radioactivity from the environment, leaving Central Africa surprisingly less irradiated than other regions. Thousands of Pure Blood and Rover tribal families live here in near-complete ignorance of the outside world.
Eastern Africa
Rich fishing ports, fertile soil, and bountiful resources make this region a paradise where civilization could realistically be reborn. Salt Wise work alongside varied Strains, with Remnants forming the majority population. New genetic traits are forming among the people here, suggesting the genesis of completely new Strains never before classified.
Southern Africa
Rising waters swallowed the low-lying coasts, turning interior mountains into islands. Landlocked barges became a swarming metropolis adorned with shrines of hammered gold and raw diamonds. Cult-like leadership worships noble-born as living gods, and communities of Pure Blood, Diesel Jock, and Accensor descent war against each other with devoted zealotry.
