Armistice
Armistice was not born with a name. She was 20467, one of the steel harvesters in the Iron Works at Rail City. She never knew her mother or father and was never taught to read. Her world was the factory floor and the overseers who kept it running.
That changed when she met a group of Irons who were planning an escape. She could not read, but she could think. She mapped the routes, devised the distractions for the guards, and worked out the timing. The plan succeeded for everyone except Armistice herself. The others got out. She was captured by Commander Williams, who gave her a savage beating and left her scarred and half-dead in the cold of winter.
Raymore Diggins found her before the cold finished the job. The Postal Worker brought her to safety, and from that point forward her life had a single direction. She learned to read. She learned tactics. She started working with the Postal Workers and the growing network of resisters who would become the Uprising.
By the time the Ironworks began mobilizing its armies to put down unrest across its territory, Armistice had become one of the Uprising's most valued strategists. When intelligence reached her that the Ironworks planned to transport a weapons asset through a series of towns, she devised a plan: let the Ironworks believe a settlement was cooperative, draw them in, and then destroy the asset from within. She coordinated cells across multiple settlements and positioned her own forces outside the perimeter for the final strike.
Armistice never found the Irons who escaped without her. She found something else instead: a war worth fighting and the mind to fight it.
