Children of the False
The Children of the False are what happens when orphans build a family from faith and then strip away every structure that might fail them. Born from a cluster of orphaned Remnants who wanted fellowship without the risk of parental abandonment, the Children took the Nuclear Family's teachings and removed the parts that hurt. No Fathers. No Mothers. No spiritual leaders of any kind.
Every member is an absolute equal. They organize in packs, share everything, accept no outside faiths, and recognize no hierarchy in either mundane or spiritual roles. The mainstream Nuclear Family considers this arrangement near-heretical, and they are not wrong to be uncomfortable. The Children's communal structure dances close to the edge of something the faith cannot tolerate.
They are found primarily in the jungles of the Overgrowth, though packs have appeared in the Iron Jungles of Old York and Fallen Angels. Dense canopy and hostile terrain suit them. The Children do not seek comfort; they seek each other, and the wilderness provides better shelter from judgmental eyes than any settlement could.

The first pack of Children is rumored to have formed from a cluster of orphaned Remnants. These were young people who wanted faith and fellowship but carried too many scars from birth parents who had refused or abandoned them. Rather than submit to the Nuclear Family's Parent-Child hierarchy, which demanded exactly the kind of trust they had learned to withhold, they built their own version: a family of equals, with no one positioned to leave.
