The Grip Set controls the World's End Trading Post, the largest open market in the Iron Gardens, built within the old Bronx Zoo walls. Their members patrol in green-and-blue pre-fall military camouflage, organized into dozens of squads roaming different territories across the region. At the World's End, their word is law. Violence within the market is met with a single punishment: offenders are thrown over the walls to the waiting undead below.
The gang rose to prominence as hired escorts ensuring traders reached the World's End intact. Over time they became the dominant interest in the territory, controlling both market operations and external security. Their leader, Carlos "Hookman" Malave, commands by walking the streets himself rather than ruling from a fixed position. He personally patrols the Iron Gardens, and his squads maintain the iron cable bridges and flatlands that connect the region's settlements.
