Seven stories beneath the undead-filled waterways of Old York, below murky soil mired with blood and underwater monstrosities, below stone and earth, and beyond the Lascarian catacomb system, lies a vault built from two pre-Fall underground installations: the Morgan branch and the Federal branch. Hidden tunnels once connecting these facilities have been reinforced and expanded by the Lineage League into a single massive interlinked underground complex. The Iron Morgue Vault is their repository, and the Lineage League is its purpose.
The League is a network of roughly fifty Pure Blood families that pool their resources toward a single objective: unraveling the secrets of the past. Their economic power and trade connections funnel pre-Fall artifacts from across the wastelands into this one secured location. Connections with traders at the Grand Central Market Place, local governments, heavily funded Trade Union networks extending from Dominus Columbia, and merchant centers in neighboring communities create an acquisition web that spans the continent. Shop-runners in distant settlements watch for old-world reliquaries brought in by traders and scroungers, knowing the League will pay.
