Papaya's Kings

Papaya's Kings operate the Papaya Firearms compound in the western Plunge, a block of buildings at the intersection of two cracked causeways fortified with thick metal walls, commerce slots, and three entrenched barricade lines. The gang combines weapons manufacturing with a street-side food service, and their elongated bright yellow smiley face wearing a crown is stamped on every weapon and every worker. They are arms dealers who feed their neighbors and fight for community.
The operation is a generational enterprise led by Abraham Gray, an aging patriarch who inherited the compound and its guarded kitchen recipes from his father. Under Gray's management, the Kings produce firearms, munitions, weapon modifications, and repairs while running armed trade caravans regularly to Grand Central Market in the Heights. Their fighters are among the best equipped in the Plunge, carrying high-caliber firearms manufactured in their own machine shops.
Recently, the Kings suffered a break-in that resulted in the theft of a newly developed weapons blueprint. Suspicion of an inside job circulates among the compound's workers, but no leads have surfaced and the stolen print has not appeared on the open market. Whether it was taken for a rival's armory or for leverage remains unknown. Meanwhile, trade ties with the Iron Cross through go-between Darnell Epoc keep the Kings connected to the city's broader mercenary economy, and their caravans continue to roll.
