The Dutchy

A derelict pre-fall paddleboat unearthed from the Mississippi river bed by the tidal surge that created Missory Bay. The Banker's Dozen, a group of Vegasians who discovered the vessel on the eastern shore, righted it and retrofitted it with slave labor and ingenious assistance from the Blue Delta. Dubbed the Dutchy, the paddleboat now serves as a floating headquarters, traveling casino, ferry across the bay, and private resort for those who can afford it.
  Masters and Mistresses ensure the ship is kept in top shape, trading with nearby ports for upkeep and with local fishing villages and tribes for food and hooch. Teams of slaves help maintain and operate the ship ceaselessly. The Dutchy brings a slice of Vegasian life to the eastern waterways: the gambling, the excess, and the ruthless commerce, all floating on irradiated water far from the desert that spawned the people aboard. The tidal surge that destroyed a river also unearthed a ship; the Vegasians saw opportunity.
