Reno Auto Reserve
Buried under the rubble of the old-world city near the settlement that became the Roar, the Reno Auto Reserve was discovered during the eighth month of a long excavation. Workers broke through into a buried building and found display vaults containing hundreds of pristine pre-fall vehicles stored for generations before the Fall. A tomb of perfect machines that birthed a new age of speed.
The pristine vehicles allowed Dieseljocks to analyze pre-fall automotive designs. While the technology could not be fully reproduced with crude post-fall means, the designs were adapted to make their slag vehicles more reliable, smoother, and faster. This breakthrough spawned an entire economy of custom vehicle design that transformed the Roar into a settlement of significance. Iron Works territories sent offers for blueprint designs. Pure Blood families of the Iron Kingdom employed thieves to steal prototypes. Vegasian families now sponsor race teams and Dieseljock tribes to gain access to the highest-end equipment. The Reserve remains the only known source of intact pre-fall automotive engineering outside the Iron Kingdom, and every faction with an interest in speed or warfare wants what lies inside.

History
Corebook Era
The earliest records describe how beneath the ashes and rubble of the fallen city of Reno, an amazing discovery was made. After weeks of excavation, lost relics of technology were found, including a cache of classic pre-fall automobiles. The Reno Auto Reserve, known as the Roar, became a mecca for technologists, Dieseljock Rovers, and gear heads far and wide. It was one of Vegas City's proudest trade assets, giving them significant leverage with the Ironworks and Lone Star, whose factories and oil fields benefited heavily from Reno's discoveries.
