South American Continent
The post-Fall South American continent is divided into four regions, ranging from oil-rich mangrove swamps to Infection-consumed rainforests. Trade routes connect the continent northward to the Merican Wastes, while isolated mountain communities and grassland settlers sustain life in their own ways.
Northern South America
Overgrown mangrove swamps and rainforests border Central America, teeming with dangerous creatures. Small Natural One coastal settlements and Salt Wise communities line the Caribbean coast. Pure Blood families exploit fertile oil fields, shipping goods up the Rum Coast to Lone Star for Diesel Jock trade networks. The oil keeps flowing, and the swamps keep growing teeth.
Western South America
The Andes mountains whistle with wind at extreme elevations where the undead will not climb. The Unborn of Teixiptla inhabit the ruins of Machu Picchu, isolated by altitude from the lowland threats. They farm on steep mountain ridges and trade with coastal Salt Wise communities for goods that cannot be produced at elevation.
Eastern South America
The worst Infection outbreak on the continent struck here. Densely populated areas succumbed quickly, and the harsh rainforests now support only the dead. Full Dead and Unborn of Teixiptla populations dominate the territory. Trade with outsiders provides slave labor for mine operations buried in the jungle interior.
Southern South America
Vast grasslands stretch for miles, ideal for herding. Merican settlers called Gauchos drive sheep and cattle across the open plains, serving as the farmland of the continent. The grasslands provide, but they are not safe. Full Dead stalk the herds, hunting for victims to take as slaves or food.
