Demon's Own

The Demon's Own are easily mistaken for ordinary raiders, which is precisely the point. An offshoot of the 33rd Street Boys of Old York, they abandoned motorcycles for horseback and brought the Final Knights' brand of violence to the Pale Horse Pike. Their patchwork helmets bear blood-stained "33" markings, but these are not visible until the riders are close enough that running is no longer an option.
They hunt the Pike on horseback, targeting heavily laden traders and mail carriers with quick, devastating raids. Each member is a skilled marksman and talented mounted melee combatant, rivaling even Natural One tribes in primitive weapon skills. The silent approach of horses gives them an advantage that engines never could: by the time the target hears hoofbeats, the attack is already underway. No survivors are left. The mail and the merchants simply vanish from the road as though they never existed.
The goods and supplies seized during these raids are not kept by the Demon's Own. They are redirected to Final Knights sympathetic merchants and families within Aysea, feeding the faith's fiscal influence in the city. This makes the Demon's Own more than raiders. They are a supply line, funneling stolen wealth eastward to finance the Knights' quiet expansion into territory the Board believes it still controls.
