When members of the King's Court in Savage Anna spoke out against the Road Crew's violent enforcement methods and advocated for peaceful alternatives, the resulting gang war ended decisively in the Savage Angels' favor. The beaten dissenters traveled south and established themselves in Charles Town, South Caroline, rebuilding their faction around country music and a refusal to spill blood over unpaid debts.
They still operate as a King's Court faction, organizing performances and ensuring musicians are paid, but their methods are a deliberate rejection of the Angels' approach. A Mountain Rocker will rough up a bar owner who shorts a performer; a Savage Angel would kill him. That distinction defines the faction's identity and limits its reach. The Rockers are not welcome in Savage Anna or any settlement where the Angels hold sway, and La Havana communists target them due to their King's Court origins.

The Mountain Rockers formed when King's Court members in Savage Anna objected to the Road Crew's violent enforcement methods. The dissenters argued for peaceful alternatives to spreading the Court's influence, but the Savage Angels controlled Savage Anna, and the disagreement escalated into a gang war. The Angels won. The surviving pacifists were driven from the city and forced to find their own settlement.
