Territorial Respect is the oldest, carried forward from the pocket civilizations that held out against the Infection for generations. Before the Genjian became a Strain, their ancestors survived by keeping disease carriers and the sick outside settlement walls. Mon Recovery is quieter and sadder. Before the Genjian Strain existed, the symbols of community were taken from the fallen to confirm to surviving relatives that a loved one had passed. Like soldiers collecting dog tags from the dead. Genjian who find Mon markings on the bodies of Hunters or Bursters will collect these icons, sometimes fighting through swarms of the fast dead to recover a circle of stamped metal no larger than a coin.
